Eighteen-year-old Mariza sneaks out of her house in the countryside and arrives in Athens to meet a young bartender whom she met and fell in love with during the summer. The bartender doesn’t remember her. Mariza doesn’t lose her courage; she waits for him to finish work and persuades him to join her in a futile wandering that leads them back to the bar. When Mariza discovers that she has lost her wallet and goes out to search for it, the tired young man falls asleep on the couch. Mariza can no longer do anything except sleep in his arms. In the morning, just before her return journey, they embrace and kiss. In the end, how true is the promise for both of them that they can meet again in six months?
